Fund-Raising Banquet for Wild Turkey Conservation
Help support wild turkey conservation by attending the Hunting Heritage Super Fund Auction and Dinner, hosted by the Lonesome Pine Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. This event will be held August 23, 2008 at Holiday Inn at Norton__. The doors open at 6:00 p.m., so you can enjoy social hour before you sit down for a delicious meal.
All ticket holders will be eligible to win valuable prizes exclusive to NWTF events. Place the highest bid and you could go home with sporting art, hunting guns, knives, calls, outdoor equipment and more.

In 1973, when the NWTF was founded, there were an estimated 1.3 million wild turkeys and 1.5 million turkey hunters. Thanks to the work of wildlife agencies and the NWTF's many volunteers and partners, today there are more than 7 million wild turkeys and almost 3 million turkey hunters. Since 1985, the NWTF and its cooperators have spent more than $258 million upholding hunting traditions and conserving more than 13.1 million acres of wildlife habitat. </span>
